Babysitter Course
This class is designed to help school-aged children from 11-13 years of age to become a smart and safe babysitter. It is a two-day course lasting approximately 3 hours each day. It is perfect for girl scout troops in need of a babysitting badge, church youth groups as well as a group of friends to enroll together forming a class. The goal of the class is to build confidence as well as gain responsibility when left alone in the care of younger children. The agenda is as follows:
Day 1: Be a successful babysitter, staying safe while babysitting, expected age related behaviors, troubleshooting misbehaviors, what to do about certain misbehaviors, diaper changing, and bottle feeding.
Day 2: Choking child and infant, rescue breathing for child and infant, and first aid/injury. Role playing and group work are included in order to make the class as fun and informative as possible.
The course fee includes the class training, supplies, take-home supplies to keep and take on babysitting jobs, and a certificate of completion. Your child will need to bring a tote bag from home that can be designated for babysitting jobs. It will be filled with goodies that children can enjoy as well as resources for your daughter while babysitting. Call today to form a class.
